Module 4: Momentum

Introduction

Momentum, the final M of the 4M model, is about recognizing that career development does not end when you choose what learning/training program to take or what occupation to pursue.  Career development is a lifelong process and one that often calls on us to be resilient, resourceful, innovative and persistent. So how do we stay motivated, engaged, active and proactive in this process? How do we maintain momentum when we hit bumps in the road, when the journey seems too long and when the only thing that is certain about the labour market is its uncertainty? This course topic looks at answering these questions and shares how we can learn and build our, and our clients’ and students’ resilience (momentum’s strongest ally) along the way.
