Course Description
This introductory course offers a clear, practical overview of the core concepts that shape effective career development practice. Learners explore the scope of the field, key competencies, and the foundational processes that support clients and students in navigating learning and work.
Central to the course is the 4M Model—Meandering, Manoeuvring, Meaning, and Momentum—a framework that highlights how people explore options, make informed choices, align decisions with personal values, and continue adapting in a changing labour market.
Through reflective activities and creative, hands-on interventions, participants connect theory to practice and consider how their own career perspectives influence the support they provide. This course offers a “big picture” understanding of career development and practical tools to apply immediately in your practice.
