Course Description
Career development theory becomes far more meaningful when it’s connected to real people and real practice. This course introduces the major theoretical models that shape our field and situates them within their historical, social, and cultural contexts. Together, we’ll explore how these ideas inform effective practice and how you can integrate them into your own approach to supporting clients.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe the main career development theories and models and analyse them within their historical and cultural context
- Identify the repercussions of social, cultural and economic factors that affect career development
- Integrate theory-based activities into practice
- Define a personal approach to practice, considering recognized career development theories and models
